In restricted activity, arhar and its dal prices weakened by Rs 50 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today, on subdued demand against adequate stocks.
Elsewhere, prices moved in a tight range due to lack of worthwhile buying activity and settled around previous levels.
Traders said subdued demand against sufficient stocks mainly led to the fall in prices of arhar and its dal.
Meanwhile, state-run trading company STC invited bids for the import of 12,000 tonnes of pulses for sale in the domestic market.
In the national capital, arhar and its dal dara variety traded lower by Rs 50 each to Rs 3,800-3,900 and Rs 5,150-5,550 per quintal, respectively.
