Asian markets gain; Shanghai dips

Asian markets were in green this morning with energy and commodity stocks outperforming.

The Hang Seng gained 124 points at 23,426. Nikkei, however was flat at 10,839.

Taiwan Weighted added 2% to 8,842. Seoul Composite jumped 1.3% to 2,003. Straits Times was up 0.8% at 3,108.

Shanghai Composite slipped 0.6% to 2,909.
