Asian markets subdued; Nikkei down 62pts

Asian markets are marginally down this morning.

The Hang Seng has slipped 74 points to 13,837. The Nikkei has declined 62 points to 8,427.

The Taiwan Weighted index has gained 47 points at 5,289. The Straits Times index is down eight points at 1,699, and the Seoul Composite index is flat at 1,222.

The Shanghai Composite index is up seven points at 2,345.
