Cardamom falls by 0.7% on weak demand
Adequate stocks in the physical market on account of higher supply also affected prices

Cardamom prices fell 0.66% to Rs 757 per kg in futures trade today as speculators reduced positions amid low demand.
Furthermore, adequate stocks in the physical market on account of higher supply from the producing belts put pressure on cardamom prices.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in November fell Rs 5.10, or 0.66%, to Rs 757 per kg, in a business turnover of 244 lots.

Similarly, the spice for delivery in December traded lower by Rs 4.80, or 0.61%, to Rs 780.10 per kg in 33 lots.
Analysts said off-loading of positions by speculators amid higher supplies from producing regions and sluggish demand in the spot market, mainly pulled down cardamom prices in futures trade.
