Cardamom futures for February rose by Rs 5.50, or 0.53%, to Rs 1,036 per kg in 754 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the March contract moved up by Rs 3, or 0.27%, to Rs 1,072 per kg in 135 lots.

Speculators creating fresh positions, pick-up in spot market demand due to marriage season helped the trade gain.

Restricted arrivals from producing region also supported the uptrend.
