Cardamom weak on profit-booking
Low demand in the spot market against adequate supply also put pressure on prices

Cardamom prices fell by Rs 5 to Rs 834.70 per kg in futures trading today on continued profit-booking by speculators at prevailing higher levels.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, cardamom for delivery in December fell by Rs 5, or 0.60%, to Rs 834.70 per kg, with a business turnover of 277 lots.
The spice for delivery in January traded lower by Rs 4.70, or 0.51%, to Rs 916 per kg, with a business turnover of 54 lots.
Marketmen said besides continued profit-booking at prevailing levels by speculators, subdued demand in the spot market against adequate stocks position put pressure on cardamom prices at futures market.
