Cbi Probes If Ketan Parekh Routed Funds Abroad

BUSINESS STANDARD

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is probing the Rs 1,000 crore Madhavpura Mercantile Cooperative Bank (MMCB) case, is pursuing leads to establish whether the money alleged to have been borrowed from the bank by broker Ketan Parekh was, in fact, routed out of the country through six overseas corporate bodies (OCBs). It is also investigating whether MMCB borrowed part of its fund requirements from the call money market to finance stock brokers.
