Cipla gains 2.1%; HDFC down 4.8%

The Nifty is trading 100 points lower at 4400.

Ranbaxy has gained 4.7% to Rs 526, Cipla is up 2.1% at Rs 206. Bhel has advanced 1.3% to Rs 1,374. Reliance has gained 0.8% to Rs 2,163. Ambuja Cements, Maruti, HUL and ACC have advanced less than half per cent.
 
ONGC is down 5.5% to Rs 872.  HDFC and  HDFC Bank have declined 4.8% to Rs 1,183 and Rs 2,206, respectively.

Infosys is down 4.6% to Rs 1,904 and TCS has declined 4.5% to Rs 915. Satyam, ICICI Bank, Reliance Infra, Wipro, NTPC, ITC, RCom, Bharti and Jaiprakash Associates are the other losers.
