Copper declines 0.4% on global cues

Weak global trend influenced copper prices at futures trade here

Copper futures for February declined by Rs 1.60, or 0.36%, to Rs 440.75 per kg in 27,677 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the April contract traded lower by the same margin to Rs 446.45 per kg in 2,852 lots.

Prices declined as speculators trimmed their positions.

Weak global trend influenced copper prices at futures trade here.

On the London Metal Exchange (LME), the three months'  contract declined 0.2% to $8,099.25, lowest level since January 29.
