Copper, lead up on industrial demand

Select base metals including copper and lead strengthened by Rs 3 per kg in the local non-ferrous metal market today on the back of pick-up in industrial demand.
Market analysts said increased demand from consuming industries such as cable makers and battery manfuacturing units mainly supported the upside in copper and lead prices.
In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and copper mixed scrap were up by Rs 3 each to Rs 508, Rs 531 and Rs 491 per kg, respectively.
Lead ingot and lead imported also strengthened by similar margin to Rs 144 and Rs 147 per kg, respectively.
