Coromandel Fertilizers rises 13% on better Q3 results

Shares of Coromandel Fertilizers (Coromandel) rose 13.12 per cent to close the day at Rs 103 on better third quarter results. The company’s net profit surged 77.3 per cent year-on-year to Rs 133 crore in the quarter ended December 2008. Total income jumped to Rs 3,726 crore from Rs 956 crore during the same period.

The stock made an intra-day high of Rs 104.95 and a low of Rs 92.2, with trading volumes of 3.13 lakh shares. The stock made a 52-week high of Rs 199.9 (September 11, 2008) and a low of Rs 73.7 (November 26, 2008).
