Crude oil futures down 0.5% on Asian cues

Prices fell after speculators reduced exposures

Press Trust of India New Delhi
Crude oil futures for May fell by Rs 24 or 0.47%, to Rs 5,047 per barrel in 4,780 lots.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), the June contract moved down by a similar margin to Rs 5,080 per barrel in a turnover of 340 lots.

Prices fell after speculators reduced exposures.

Trading sentiment remained bearish as crude prices declined in Asian trade as weak economic data from the US sparked concerns over a softer demand.

On the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX), the June contract shed 48 cents to $92.52 a barrel.
