The shares of broking firm, Geojit Financial Services soared to Rs 56.05, up 4.09 per cent from their previous close, on reports that the Reserve Bank of India has cleared French bank BNP Paribas' open offer for Geojit Financial Services.

In 2007, BNP Paribas had picked up a 27.18 per cent stake in Geojit Financial Services for Rs 207 crore. However, its open offer was pending approval from the RBI. </P></p></table>
