Global funds sell net Rs 466 cr Indian derivatives

Global investors sold a net Rs 466 crore ($83 million) of Indian equity derivatives yesterday, according to the National Stock Exchange.
Open interest, or the number of contracts outstanding in value terms, rose 0.9 per cent to Rs 73,510 crore, according to the exchange's website. Open interest reached a record Rs 1.6 lakh crore on September 21, 2010.
Foreign funds sold a net Rs 189 crore of shares in the cash segment yesterday, according to preliminary data given by the bourse.
