Canada has reversed its controversial decision to buy a generic copy of an anthrax medicine that is under patent to Bayer of Germany. Following talks with the company, Canada said it would purchase all its supply of Cipro, the most popular drug for treating anthrax, from Bayer which has agreed not to sue the government for patent infringement.
