Gram, its dal remain up on retailers demand

Gram and its dal prices rose further by Rs 25 per quintal on the wholesale pulses market today on rising demand from retailers, amid fall in arrivals from producing belts.

Elsewhere, prices moved in a narrow range on little doing and pegged around overnight levels.

Traders said rising demand from retailers against tight supply from producing regions, mostly supported the rise in gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram and its dal local remained in demand and advanced by Rs 25 each to Rs 2,475-2,500, while its dal local traded higher by the same margin to Rs 2,750-2,775 per quintal.
