HCL Infosystems dips on weak Q2 results

The stock dipped 9% to Rs 45 after reporting net loss of Rs 51 crore in December quarter against Rs 44 crore in a year ago quarter.

HCL Infosystems has dipped 9% to Rs 45 on BSE in an otherwise firm market after reporting a net loss of Rs 50.82 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, 2014 (Q2), due to lower sales. The computer hardware company had a loss of Rs 44 crore in a year ago quarter.

Net sales of the company during the quarter under review declined by 25% to Rs 1,451 crore against Rs 1,937 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal.

The stock opened at Rs 49.75 and touched a low of Rs 43.85 on BSE. A combined 3.55 million shares changed hands on the counter till 1136 hours on BSE and NSE.
