Hdfc Suffers Ex-Dividend Blues

HDFC hit a low of Rs 390.75 before closing at Rs 398.55, down 2.59 per cent. More than 44,361 shares were traded . It was one of the losers among Sensex stocks today as the stock turned ex-dividend on the bourses.

For FY03, HDFC has registered a 19 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 690.29 crore as compared to Rs 580.01 crore, on a 10.2 per cent increase in total income to Rs 2,975.62 crore (Rs 2,700.15 crore).

On a consolidated basis, the company recorded a net profit of Rs 747.48 crore (Rs 626.73 crore) on a total income of Rs 3,092.16 crore (Rs 2,818.65 crore).
