Indian and Australian agricultural scientists have agreed to strengthen bilateral programmes for developing sustainable agricultural systems and appropriate strategies for natural resource management in India.
This was decided during the discussions the visiting Australian scientists delegation had with their counterparts in the Indian ministries of agriculture, environment and forests, textiles and the department of biotechnology, the Centre for Scientific and Industrial Research and the National Dairy Development Board.
Building on the positive experience of working together since the last bilateral consultations in 1997, these discussions aimed at making collaborative research between the two countries even more productive, a press release issued by the Australian High Commission said.
