Markets open lower on global cues

On global cues, the Sensex opened 183 points lower at 14,718, but has edged up a bit. It is now trading at 14,790, down 111 points. NSE is down 37 points to 4431.
DLF is up 1.1% at Rs 509, Wipro has gained 0.95% to Rs 438 and Ranbaxy has advanced 0.6% to Rs 450.
Sterlite is down 6.4% at Rs 539, ICICI Bank has lost 2.3% to Rs 696, HDFC Bank has declined 1.4% to Rs 1275. Reliance is down 1.2%. M&M is down nearly a per cent.
