Markets rebound from day's low

The markets have recovered sharply.

The Sensex recovered from the day's low and is now up 26 points at 17,153. The Nifty is up four points at 5,088.

Bharti Airtel has soared 6% to Rs 444. TCS has gained 3% at Rs 639. ACC has added 2% to Rs 838.

Jaiprakash Associates, DLF, SBI, Infosys and Wipro have moved up over 1% each.

Meanwhile, Maruti Suzuki has slipped 2.3% to Rs 1,659. HDFC, NTPC and Tata Power have dropped 1.5% each to Rs 2,728, Rs 211 and Rs 1,302, respectively.

Larsen & Toubro and Reliance are down over 1% each at Rs 1,665 and Rs 2,178, respectively.

 

The market breadth is marginally negative. Out of 2,360 shares traded 1,1,68 have declined while 1,114 have advanced.
