Markets recover again; Tata Steel gains 3%

The NSE Nifty is down seven points at 4,150.

Maruti has tumbled 3% to Rs 571. ICICI Bank and Jaiprakash Associates have shed 2.7% each at Rs 605 and Rs 169, respectively.

ITC has dropped 1.8% to Rs 180. HDFC Bank has slipped 1.5% to Rs 1,043.

TCS and Reliance have declined 1.3% each to Rs 864 and Rs 2,053, respectively.

Infosys and Tata Motors are down over 1% each at Rs 1,801 and Rs 400, respectively.

ACC and Ambuja Cements have surged 3.3% each to Rs 554 and Rs 80, respectively.

Tata Steel has rallied 2.6% to Rs 695. DLF has advanced over 2% to Rs 460.

 

HDFC has added 1.3% to Rs 2,123. Cipla and ONGC are up 1% each at Rs 212 and Rs 836, respectively.

The market breadth has turned positive - out of 2,566 stocks traded so far, 1,259 have advanced, 1,230 have declined and 80 are unchanged.
