MCX-SX set to launch interest rate futures

MCX Stock Exchange (MCX-SX) on Thursday said it would be launching interest rate futures, a derivative which allows investors to hedge risk of adverse interest rate fluctuations. The new product would go live in January, said a press statement from the exchange. "The exchange received nod from the Securities and Exchange Board of India today," it said.
