Mineral output up 16% in March

| India's mineral production in March grew 15.7 per cent from a month ago to Rs 6,713 crore, an official release said Monday. |
| The sharp month-on-month rise came on the back of increased production of coal, lignite, crude petroleum and natural gas, it said. |
| In the year ended March, mineral output was up 4.3 per cent from a year earlier. |
