Mixed run

The stocks of companies engaged in the oil and gas business have had a mixed run in the last three months from October to January on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Share price of BPCL rose from Rs 361.30 on October 1, to today's close of Rs 419.50, up 16.1 per cent on the BSE.

During the same period the stock price of Bongaigaon Refinery increased from Rs 79.40 to Rs 89.10, up by roughly 12.21 per cent.

Kochi Refineries increased from Rs 177.90 to Rs 186.60. Essar Oil gained from Rs 21.75 to Rs 29.70, up 36.55 per cent.

Share price of Chennai Petro gained from Rs 176.85 to Rs 233.20, ONGC rose from Rs 777.80 to Rs 774.60 and Indian Oil Corp rose from Rs 438.40 to Rs 449.30 and HPCL rose from Rs 321.80 to Rs 343.40.

MRPL rose from Rs 45.65 to Rs 48.90 and Petronet LNG rose from Rs 23.75 to Rs 40.45.
