ICICI Bank has surged 8.5% to Rs 718. HDFC and HDFC Bank have rallied 8% each to Rs 2,317 and Rs 1,190, respectively.
BHEL and SBI have advanced over 7% each to Rs 1,718 and Rs 1,499, respectively. Larsen & Toubro has gained 6.3% at Rs 2,735.
Tata Motors and NTPC have moved up nearly 5% each to Rs 432 and Rs 194, respectively. Jaiprakash Associates is up 4.6% at Rs 167.
