Refined soya futures up 1.04% on spot demand

Refined soya oil prices rose by Rs 5.10 to Rs 495.10 per 10 kg in futures market today on pick up in demand in the spot market ahead of the peak festive season.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, refined soya oil for November-month contract rose by Rs 5.10, or 1.04 per cent to Rs 495.10 per 10 kg in one lot.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in October month gained Rs 2.70, or 0.56 per cent to Rs 486.80 per 10 kg in business turnover of 2 lots.

Traders said pick up in demand in the spot market mainly pushed up refined soya oil prices at futures market here.
