Salt Exports Touch 1.6 M Tonnes In 01

Salt exports from the country have registered a growth of 6,00,000 tonnes to 16,00,000 tonnes in 2001. In an attempt to increase the export potential of salt, the commerce ministry is sending a delegation, including representatives from the industry, the state and the central government.
