Select copra spurts on robust demand

Select copra prices spurted at the spices market here today due to strong demand from stockists as well as exporters amidst supply constraints.

Copra edible Mumbai rose by Rs 150 per quintal to Rs 7,400 from Wednesday's closing level of Rs 7,250. 

Copra office Alapuzha and copra office Kozhikode both went up by Rs 100 per quintal each to Rs 6,300 and Rs 6,250 respectively, as compared to Rs 6,200 and Rs 6,150 yesterday.

Other spices closed unaltered owing to lack of buying support.
