Select edible oils up on festival buying

Select edible oils remained in demand and rose up to Rs 20 per quintal on the wholesale oils and oilseeds market today due to increased buying by vanaspati millers for the ongoing festive session amid a firm global trend.
Meanwhile, palm oil for January delivery jumped 3.3 per cent to 3,188 ringgit per tonne, the highest level for the most active contract since July 2008.
In the national capital, crude palm oil (ex-kandla) oil gained Rs 10 to Rs 4,370, while palmolein (rbd) oil by Rs 20 to Rs 5270 per quintal.

Oilseeds: mustard seed 2,525-2,655 and groundnut seed 2,100-2,850
