Sensex below 15K; Tata Motors slips 4%

The Sensex is now down 145 points at 14,972.

The NSE Nifty is down 33 points at 4,491.

Tata Motors has tumbled 3.7% to Rs 428. Mahindra & Mahindra has shed 2.8% at Rs 560.

ICICI Bank has dropped 2.5% to Rs 691. Grasim, BHEL and Satyam have slipped 2% each to Rs 2,046, Rs 1,739 and Rs 409, respectively.

Infosys and SBI have declined nearly 2% each to Rs 1,689 and Rs 1,497, respectively.

HDFC Bank and TCS are down around 1.5% each to Rs 1,234 and Rs 839, respectively.

Maruti and DLF are down over 1% each at Rs 660 and Rs 548, respectively.

 

ONGC has surged 3.7% to Rs 1,061. Tata Steel has gained 1.4% at Rs 652.

Sterlite and Ranbaxy are up 1% each at Rs 620 and Rs 510, respectively.
