Sensex down 48pts; NTPC down 2.5%

The Nifty is trading at 4841, down 29 points.

Satyam has gained 1.5% to Rs 531. Jaiprakash Associates has gone up 1.4% to Rs 216.

Maruti has surged 1.4% at Rs 775 and ITC has gained 1.2% at Rs 220.

HDFC and Infosys have less than 1% at Rs 2,593 and Rs 1,971 .

M&M, SBI, L&T, Tata Motors, Bharti and DLF are the other gainers.

Hindalco has lost 3.4% to Rs 185, NTPC is down 2.5% to Rs 167.

Ambuja Cements and Reliance Communications are down 2.3% at Rs 93 and Rs 564 respectively.

Bhel has declined 2.2% at Rs 1,625 and  Reliance Infra has lost 2.1%  at Rs 1,204.

 

 Tata Steel, HDFC Bank, TCS, ACC, Reliance, ONGC and Grasim are other losers.
