Sensex ends down 82pts at 9,634

The Sensex opened 90 points higher at 9,807 points on positive cues from the US markets.

The index moved in a range of 237 points between 9,588 (low) and 9,826 (high) before finally settling (provisional) with a loss of 82 points at 9,634.

The market breadth was fairly positive - out of 2,535 stocks traded, 1,491 advanced, 940 declined and 104 were unchanged today.

The NSE Nifty ended (provisional) with a loss of 21 points at 2,958.
