Sensex ends flat at 13,883

The Sensex today opened with a positive gap of 101 points at 13,988. The index was volatile throughout the trading day. Around noon it surged to a high of 14,028, up 141 points. However, the index could not hold gains and slipped into the red to touch a low of 13,819, down 209 points from day's high.

The Sensex finally ended (provisional) flat at 13,883.

 

The market breadth was extremely positive -out of 2,813 stocks traded, 2,453 advanced while only 331 declined.
