Sensex ends up 124pts at 10,876

| The Sensex opened a tad lower at 10,747, down five points. After touching a low of 10,730, the index rebounded into the positive zone led by fresh buying in power stocks like BHEL and NTPC. The index, thereafter, displayed range-bound movement for the major part of the trading. Slowly and steadily buying spread to other sectors and the index broke out of the narrow range and rallied to 10,891 - up 161 points from the day's low. The Sensex finally settled with a smart gain of 124 points at 10,876. |
