Sensex ends up 206pts at 14,078

The Sensex, after a two-day break, opened with a positive gap of  116 points backed by firm trend in global markets. Steady buying in the select heavyweights saw the index display firm trend throughout the day.

The index rallied to a high of 14,107, before settling with a gain of 206 points at 14,078.
