Sensex pares gains; ITC up 3%

The NSE Nifty is up four points at 3,865.

Ranbaxy has soared over 7% to Rs 439. ITC has surged 3.5% to Rs 166.

Bharti Airtel has rallied 2.7% to Rs 729. Hindusan Unilever and Reliance Infrastructure have advanced over 2% each to Rs 216 and Rs 784, respectively.

HDFC and Satyam have gained 2% each at Rs 1,835 and Rs 406, respectively.

Cipla, BHEL and Larsen & Toubro have moved up over 1.5% each to Rs 211, Rs 1,394 and Rs 2,316, respectively.

Jaiprakash Associates, ONGC, ACC and HDFC Bank are up around 1.5% each at Rs 148, Rs 858, Rs 534 and Rs 930, respectively.

 

Tata Motors has tumbled 3% to Rs 392. DLF has shed 2.6% at Rs 416.

NTPC and Mahindra & Mahindra are down around 1.5% each at Rs 160 and Rs 514, respectively.
