Sensex rebounds, up 18pts; ITC gains 2%

The Sensex opened 29 points lower at 9,442, but has soon rebounded and is now up 18 points at 9,489.

ITC has surged nearly 2% to Rs 178. Reliance has gained 1.5% at Rs 1,473.

Wipro and Reliance Infrastructure have advanced over 1% each to Rs 245 and Rs 513, respectively.

Tata Motors has plunged 2.6% to Rs 158, and HDFC has shed 2.3% at Rs 1,528.

NTPC has dropped 1.7% to Rs 179. Hindalco and ONGC are down over 1% each at Rs 49 and Rs 771, respectively.
