Sensex recovers marginally; Satyam tanks 15%

The Sensex has recovered marginally and is now down 210 points at 9,718.
Satyam has slumped 14.5% to Rs 139. Jaiprakash Associates has plunged 11% to Rs 78.
Tata Motors has tumbled over 6% to Rs 176. ICICI Bank and Sterlite have shed 5% each at Rs 424 and Rs 267, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro has dropped 4.8% to Rs 776. Mahindra & Mahindra and DLF have slipped 4.5% each to Rs 293 and Rs 302, respectively.
Hindalco has declined 3.7% to Rs 52. Ranbaxy, HDFC Bank and Maruti are down over 3% each to Rs 215, Rs 987 and Rs 512, respectively.
Reliance Communications, however, is up over 1% at Rs 216.
The market breadth is fairly negative - out of 2,462 stocks traded so far, 1,798 have declined, 602 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
