Sensex up 210pts at 9963, 10K in sight again

| The Sensex touched a high of 9971, and is up 221 points at 9963. ICICI Bank is up 4% at Rs 605, and HDFC is also steady with a gain of 4.4% at Rs 1,362. Cipla and Bajaj Auto have gained 3% each at Rs 498 and Rs 2,202, respectively. HLL is up nearly 3% at Rs 196. ONGC and Reliance have added 2.8% each to Rs 1,194 and Rs 716, respectively. Larsen & Toubro, Ranbaxy, Tata Power, SBI and Tata Steel have gained over 2% each to Rs 2,260, Rs 400 and Rs 495, Rs 874 and Rs 409, respectively. Not a single stock in the Sensex is in negative zones. Out of 2,438 stocks traded so far, 1,530 have advanced, 846 have declined and 62 are unchanged. Rolta has surged 5.7% to Rs 221. Century Textiles, Moser Baer, National Fertilisers, Asian Paints, Kotak Bank, Titan, Adani Exports and GSK Pharma are up 4-5% each. Hexaware has dropped 4% to Rs 136. IBP, SKF India, Punjab Tractors, Corporation Bank, IOC, Syndicate Bank, ABB, IndusInd Bank and Ingersoll Rand are down 1-3% each. |
