Sensex up 22pts; Hindalco gains 2%

The Sensex is now up 22 points at 11,594.

Hindalco has surged 1.7% to Rs 176. Reliance Energy and Hero Honda have added 1.5% each to Rs 453 and Rs 723, respectively.

Reliance Communications and Grasim have advanced 1% each to Rs 302 and Rs 2,225, respectively.

Dr.Reddy's has gone ex-bonus today. The stock now trades at Rs 723.

Cipla, HDFC Bank and HDFC are down nearly 1% each at Rs 244, Rs 842 and Rs 1,270, respectively.
