Sensex up 34pts

The Sensex has gained 34 points to 7,845.

ONGC has added over 2% (Rs 21) to Rs 1,009. HLL is up a per cent at Rs 170. Reliance is also up a per cent at Rs 716.

Ranbaxy has advanced nearly 3% (Rs 14) to Rs 536. Dr. Reddy's is also in positive zone.

Hero Honda, Maruti, ACC, TCS, Satyam and Tata Steel are also trading with gains.

ICICI Bank is down Rs 3 at Rs 503. BHEL, HDFC Bank, Wipro, ITC and Grasim are trading with marginal declines.

Sterlite Opticals has zoomed over 20% to Rs 111.

Advances are ahead of declines 3:1 - out of 2,517 scrips traded, 1,868 have moved up, 600 have declined and 49 are unchanged.
