Sensex up 3pts, Tata Power gains 4%

The range-bound trend in the market continues, and the Sensex is now up three points at 7,800. The Nifty is down a point at 2,367.

Reliance has moved up a per cent (Rs 4) to Rs 733, while Reliance Energy has logged 2.72% gains (Rs 17) to Rs 656. ITC (up Rs 4 to Rs 1,740) is trading at steady levels. ONGC, however, is still subdued at Rs 950 - down Rs 5.

Tata Power has surged 4% (Rs 17) to Rs 425, while Bharti is holding on to its firm gains at Rs 296 - up Rs 12 or 4.23%. Hindalco has gained 1.86% (Rs 25) to Rs 1,358.

Satyam has dropped 2% (Rs 11) to Rs 529, and Infosys is still trading with a per cent loss (Rs 17) at Rs 2,295. TCS (down Rs 13 to Rs 1,282) and Wipro (down Rs 9 or 1.22% to Rs 722), too, are exhibiting weak trends.

Bajaj has slumped 3.27% (Rs 50) to Rs 1,483, while Hero Honda has shed 2.53% (Rs 16) to Rs 615. Maruti, however, has gained 1.90% (Rs 9) to Rs 510. Tata Motors, too, is trading at higher levels at Rs 509 - up Rs 7 or 1.48%.
