Sensex up 45pts in opening trades

The Sensex opened 45 points higher this morning. The index is now up 50 points at 18,181.

The NSE Nifty is up 13 points at 5,464.

Most of the Asian markets are tradingly up marginally after the US markets posted decent gains following the European bank stress results. European regulators revealed that only seven out of 91 banks had failed an adverse test scenario that assumed a sovereign risk shock and a double-dip recession.
