Sensex up 58pts; Bajaj, ONGC, HLL lead

The Sensex opened with a positive gap of 30 points at 11,754. The index spurted to a high of 11,794, and is now up 58 points at 11782.

Bajaj Auto, ONGC, HLL and Larsen & Toubro have advanced 1% each to Rs 2,715, Rs 1,233, Rs 238 and Rs 2,443, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Tata Steel, NTPC, ITC, HDFC Bank and Wipro are the other smart gainers.

Hindalco is the sole loser among the index stocks.
