Sensex up over 100pts; tech stocks weak

The NSE Nifty is up 47 points at 4,523.

ONGC has soared 5.5% to Rs 1,049. Reliance Infrastructure has surged over 4% to Rs 1,057.

DFL has rallied over 3% to Rs 511. Bharti Airtel, ICICI Bank and Tata Motors have advanced 2.7% each to Rs 839, Rs 758 and Rs 449, respectively.

Maruti has moved up over 2% to Rs 620, and Jaiprakash Associates has added 1.8% to Rs 176.

Ambuja Cements and HDFC Bank have gained 1.6% each at Rs 85 and Rs 1,225, respectively.

TCS has plunged 5% to Rs 816. Wipro and Infosys have tumbled around 3% each to Rs 396 and Rs 1,554, respectively. Satyam has shed 1.8% at Rs 371.

 

Cipla has slipped 1.7% to Rs 229. Hindustan Unilever, ITC and NTPC are down 1.3% each at Rs 228, Rs 189 and Rs 188, respectively.
