Sugar ends flat in thin trade

Sugar prices remained flat on the wholesale sugar market today as prices continued to trade in a tight range in restricted buying against adequate stocks position and settled around previous levels.   

Market analysts said adequate stocks position against restricted buying mainly kept sugar prices unaltered.  

Following were today's quotation per quintal.

Sugar ready M-30 2,950-3,100 and S-30 2,925-3,060
Mill delivery M-30 2,800-2,975 and S-30 2,790-2,950

Sugar mill gate prices (excluding duty): Kinonni 2,970, Asmoli 2,960, Mawana 2,900, Titabi 2,890, Thanabhavan 2,800, Budhana 2790 and Dorala 2,880
