Shares of Surya Roshni were up nearly 4% at Rs 134 on the Bombay Stock Exchange after the company said it has received an order for supply of LED bulbs and street lights for various states.
The orders worth Rs 55.19 crore are for design, manufacture, supply, testing and commissioning of 9w LED bulbs and LED street lights for various states from Energy Efficiency Services Ltd, a joint venture company of PSUs of Ministry of Power, Government of India, the company said in a release.
The order for 9w LED bulbs for the states of Kerala, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh amounted to Rs 45.98 crore while LED street lights for the state of Rajasthan amounted to Rs 9.21 crore, the release added.
The stock opened at Rs 134 and touched a high of Rs 136. At 10:25am, over 165,000 shares were traded on both the stock exchanges.
