Shares of textile companies have rallied by up to 20% on the bourses in late noon deal amid media reports that the Cabinet is likely to consider new national textile policy on Wednesday.
Donear Industries (up 20% at Rs 31.70), Aarvee Denims & Exports (17% at Rs 81), Garden Silk Mills (10% at Rs 35.65), RSWM (9% at Rs 425), DCM (8% at Rs 92), Bombay Dyeing (8% at Rs 48), Sutlej Textiles (8% at Rs 636), Banswara Syntex (8% at Rs 149), Nandan Denim (6% at Rs 149), Raymond (5% at Rs 478) and Arvind (5% at Rs 327) were up more than 4% on the BSE.
At 03:16 PM, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 0.16% at 26,824 points.
