Turmeric falls 1.15% on adequate supply
Subdued demand influences prices

Turmeric prices fell by Rs 64 to Rs 5,516 per quintal in futures trading today on adequate supplies in the spot market against subdued demand.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, turmeric for delivery in October fell by Rs 64, or 1.15%, to Rs 5,516 per quintal, with an open interest of 10,070 lots.
November turmeric shed Rs 58, or 1.04%, to Rs 5,504 per quintal, with an open interest of 11,585 lots.
Analysts said adequate supplies in the spot market against subdued demand kept pressure on turmeric prices at futures trade.
